The musicians were particularly fun, and the cast was toned and talented. The staging was creative and impressive, guaranteeing a good show with the soundtrack. The actress who played Roxie seemed old for the part at first, but during her 'Roxie' performance, she flashed us her butt, which is like a couple of small bowling balls. She was really able to shine as a marionette, then dancing with two of the boys in the baby song. The courtroom act was particularly fun and executed brilliantly by all. I stopped feeling like she was too old for the part. One of the standout performances was Amos, bringing great personality to the role and singing the hell out of it. I believed him totally. My only criticism was that the choreography seemed simplified whenever Velma was one of the dancers. I got the impression she could strut and kick but not dance, and that disappointment was shared by the whole family on the car ride home. Also, she was a talented singer, but her vocal quality didn't seem to fit her songs. I enjoyed it, way.
